Snowflake Obsidian is a type of volcanic glass that forms when molten lava cools rapidly. It gets its distinctive appearance from the inclusion of small, white "snowflake" patterns, which are composed of the mineral cristobalite.

Geologically, Snowflake Obsidian is formed during the cooling and solidification of lava flows. As the lava cools quickly, it doesn't have enough time to crystallize, resulting in the formation of volcanic glass. The white snowflake patterns are created when cristobalite separates from the obsidian during the cooling process.

Please note: As this is a natural stone, no two stones are alike. Natural stones vary in shade, lines, patterns & inclusions. Natural stones may have chips, cracks & other imperfections, we can not guarantee perfect points or stones.
